You can choose one of two specialist paths based on your experience and strengths. These two paths will lead to a career in software development, computer networking, or computer security. This hands-on, practical course will enhance your employability skills.

Each subject area you cover is tailored towards jobs available in the industry to make sure you get the best education to progress towards a specialist degree in computing science.

Why Study the Diploma in Computing (L4) at IBC?

Upon successfully completing the qualification, students can advance to NCC Education’s Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC), equivalent to the second year of a UK Bachelor’s degree.   • Software Engineering
  • Designing and Developing Object-Oriented
  • Computer Programmes

Diploma in Computing (L4) - Entry Requirements

  • Two A-levels at grades DD or above, or 
  • BTEC triple grades PPP or above, or 
  • Any other level 3 qualifications from the UK which are comparable through Ofqual or through their relevant regulatory bodies, or 
  • Any non-UK level 3 qualifications comparable through ECCTIS at UK level 3 and
  • GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 4 or grade C or above, or 
  • Functional Skills Level 2 Maths and English 
  • Applicants without the above will be subject to an internal test

Applicants with other qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.
