Course Overview

The NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Business Management is designed for students who have completed Level 4 studies or have equivalent knowledge, and is an Ofqual-regulated qualification that develops a solid understanding of core business and management principles. The programme introduces key concepts across areas such as marketing, information systems, finance, leadership, and operations, with a focus on practical application in modern organisational contexts.

NCC Level 5 qualifications are internationally recognised by higher education institutions and employers. This diploma equips students with the knowledge and skills required to progress academically or professionally, supporting entry into supervisory and junior management roles across a range of industries. It also provides a clear progression route to higher-level qualifications, including Level 6 programmes or undergraduate degree pathways.

Course Modules

To achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Business Management, students are required to complete 120 credits (typically consisting of 6 units selected from the modules listed below).

Diploma in Business (L5) – Entry Requirements

One of the following:

Completion of an NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Business (or equivalent qualification).

Or

An appropriate Level 4 qualification or equivalent (e.g. first year of a university degree or relevant international qualification).

Or

A minimum of one year’s relevant work experience, demonstrating the ability to study at Level 5.

In addition:

English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5–6.0 (or equivalent), for non-native English speakers.

Applicants with other qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Career Progression

Students can also complete a degree at one of the many universities that recognise NCC Education qualifications or alternatively, pursue a career in the business industry.
