 The NCC Level 4 Diploma in Business Course Overview

The new L4 Diploma in Business Diploma provides a valuable diploma qualification in business which progresses students ability to foster a leadership and entrepreneurial mindset. 

Throughout the course, you will develop the skills to thrive in a professional environment and explore your career ambitions.

The course will enable you to explore different departmental business specialisms, including marketing, finance, project management, leadership and entrepreneurship, and organisational culture, giving you a well-rounded understanding of how modern businesses operate. 

The Level 4 Diploma is designed for learners aged 18 years or over, catering to both University students and adult learners and is ideal for any student wishing to progress their business studies journey.

Why Study the Diploma in Business at IBC?

Diploma in Business (L4) - Entry Requirements

1 x A level or equivalent

OR

Minimum pass grade in NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Business, Extended Diploma in Business or equivalent

OR

Minimum pass in NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma

Non-native English speakers must have IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (or take the NCC Higher English placement test)  and ensure they are able to cope with the demands of preparing for and taking the Level 4 Diploma in English.

 

Applicants with other qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Assessment and Grading

Each of the modules in the L4 Diploma in Business is assessed through the completion of assignment based work.

Assessment cycles take place in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.  Students will be provided with a timetable of assessment for their programme.

All assessments are carried out in English.

All assessments are intended to allow candidates to demonstrate that they have met the relevant learning outcomes.

Each module is awarded a mark of either pass, merit or distinction for successful candidates. A Pass is awarded for a mark of between 40 and 59. A Merit is awarded for a mark of between 60 and 69 and a Distinction is awarded for a mark of 70 and above. Candidates who obtain an overall unit mark of below 40 are classed as a fail in the unit/module and may undertake a resit. A final qualification mark will be awarded upon successful completion of all units. This is calculated by finding the average mark of all units that make up the qualification.
